Freddie M. Terrell I was born and raised in northeast Texas in the town of Daingerfield which is the county seat of Morris County. I spent my entire youth in that part of Texas but after graduating from Daingerfield High School, I enlisted in the U.S. Marines and spent the next three years serving in the Corps based in San Diego, CA and Okinawa. After my discharge from the USMC I attended Texarkana Jr College, the University of Texas at Arlington, but received my BA degree in Construction Management from East Texas State University. I served the construction industry as a project manager for the Southland Corp., Foodmaker Inc., and Eckerd Corp. (now CVS) for over thirty-five years in the southern United States from New Mexico to the Florida panhandle.
I have been married to my wife, Mary, for forty-seven years and have four children and six grandchildren.
I served on the Cleveland Independent School District School Board for nine years and am currently serving as chairman of the Cleveland Zoning Board and as a board member of the Cleveland Economic Development Corporation.
I retired in 2006 and am enjoying retirement living in Cleveland with my wife. I keep busy by remodeling our historical home, woodworking projects and playing a little golf.
